        Hess 1987 Hess 18 Wheeler Bank This predominantly white fourteen-and-a-half-inch trailer is the fourth Hess bank and second box truck released. It features chrome details, a full complement of lights, and a side door that slides open to reveal 3 removable green oil barrels branded with the Hess logo. The coin slot is on top of the trailer, and the back trailer door opens for access to the savings compartment. This year's model started a new "white and green" tradition for the Hess Toy Truck.

        We recently purchased an estate of G scale model trains and included was a collection of Hess Trucks. While there is not a particular scale associated with this brand, they are a highly collectible item and if not purchasing to collect, some would actually fit well as scenery items on a model train or slot car layout.

        All HESS trucks we have listed on our site are “New Old Stock” meaning that they include all original packaging and literature, and the item shows no evidence of ever being run or used beyond storage. New Old Stock packaging will usually show signs of shelf storage, but the contents will be in excellent condition. All of our HESS truck boxes have been opened in order to inspect for any corroded battery compartments in both the main vehicles as well as any secondary or accessory vehicles which may be part of the HESS product.
