        Hess 1998 Hess RV with Dune Buggy and Motorcycle Van Another 3-in-1 toy, the Recreation Van features a number of innovations, including a two-and-a quarter-inch friction-powered, wheelie-popping motorcycle. The lights on the first ever Hess Motorcycle are operated by twisting the helmet of the driver to an on or off position, but the big fun happens when it's revved up, balanced on its back wheel, and wheelies away. The Dune Buggy, with working headlights and taillights, off-road tires and roll cage, also has a push-friction engine. The Recreation Van has thirty tracking lights, side-compartment doors that become motorcycle ramps and a back door that opens by pressing the license plate to access a slide out ramp for the dune buggy.

        We recently purchased an estate of G scale model trains and included was a collection of Hess Trucks. While there is not a particular scale associated with this brand, they are a highly collectible item and if not purchasing to collect, some would actually fit well as scenery items on a model train or slot car layout.

        All HESS trucks we have listed on our site are “New Old Stock” meaning that they include all original packaging and literature, and the item shows no evidence of ever being run or used beyond storage. New Old Stock packaging will usually show signs of shelf storage, but the contents will be in excellent condition. All of our HESS truck boxes have been opened in order to inspect for any corroded battery compartments in both the main vehicles as well as any secondary or accessory vehicles which may be part of the HESS product.
