        Hess 2004 Hess Miniature Tanker Truck The 7th in the series marks the 40th Anniversary of the Hess Toy Truck with the release of a miniature replica of the very first toy - the 1964 Hess Tanker Truck. It features working head, tail and running lights, a fill port on the top of the tanker, and a movable hose. This year's model is attached to its display base via a quick release locking knob underneath, allowing easy on/off - the first time this mechanism was used on the miniature series.

        We recently purchased an estate of G scale model trains and included was a collection of Hess Trucks. While there is not a particular scale associated with this brand, they are a highly collectible item and if not purchasing to collect, some would actually fit well as scenery items on a model train or slot car layout.

        All HESS trucks we have listed on our site are “New Old Stock” meaning that they include all original packaging and literature, and the item shows no evidence of ever being run or used beyond storage. New Old Stock packaging will usually show signs of shelf storage, but the contents will be in excellent condition. All of our HESS truck boxes have been opened in order to inspect for any corroded battery compartments in both the main vehicles as well as any secondary or accessory vehicles which may be part of the HESS product.
