        The 2000 'Race of a Thousand Years' was an endurance race held on the Adelaide Street Circuit in Australia on 31st December 2000. It was the final round of the 2000 American Le Mans Series.

        The race lasted 850 km only rather than 1000, and was won by the Audi No.77 driven by Rinaldo Capello and Allan McNish.
